Setting Up Your First Brand

This guide walks you through the complete brand setup process in Beacon.

Brand Basics

Brand Name

Enter your official brand name as it should appear in reports and alerts.

Primary Domain

Your main website domain (e.g., example.com). This is used for:

  • Tracking AI citations to your website
  • Monitoring brand mentions
  • Calculating domain authority signals

Secondary Domains

Add any additional domains you want to track:

  • Subdomains (blog.example.com)
  • Regional domains (example.co.uk)
  • Product-specific domains

Competitor Setup

Add up to 10 competitors to track. For each competitor, you can:

  • Monitor their GEO Score
  • Compare citation frequency
  • Track their AI visibility trends

Keyword Configuration

Primary Keywords

Add 5-10 keywords that describe your core business. These are used to:

  • Find relevant AI conversations
  • Track category visibility
  • Benchmark against competitors

Brand Keywords

Add variations of your brand name:

  • Misspellings
  • Abbreviations
  • Product names

Notification Preferences

Configure when you want to be notified:

  • **Daily digest**: Summary of changes
  • **Instant alerts**: Real-time notifications for significant changes
  • **Weekly report**: Comprehensive weekly analysis

Advanced Settings

Sentiment Tracking

Enable sentiment analysis to understand if AI mentions are positive, neutral, or negative.

Geographic Focus

Specify regions to prioritize in your tracking (US, UK, EU, etc.).
